Some say the Piscean age began with the spiritual icon 'Jesus'. There is speculation with the ages, and that's much the same with the Aquarian age. In my mind, it's crystal clear with the Aquarian evolution in the world that we are IN the Aquarian age. Today's post is highly Aquarian and this influx of energy hits hard and fast.

🌕The Meaning of the Full Moon in Aquarius
Full moons occur when the Moon and Sun are directly opposite each other and the Sun gives 'light' to the Moon. This allows us to 'see' what has been in shadow and to complete a phase and culminate or integrate a matter.
Close a door, so to speak.
In Aquarius that door might close with a shocking bang. There are many words we associate with Aqua, from tech and robotics to liberation and freedom, and then to experiments, genius thinking and breakthroughs, but one word isn't as clear-cut and that word is 'RUPTURE.'
When I was 18 years old, my Grandad was walking home from the hairdressers one day and fell to the ground before making it there. There was a rupture inside his body that affected his heart. He was taken to A&E, then to London for a triple heart bypass and remained in the world of the living for two years, before his passing. On that walk, Uranus was attacking Leo. Leo representing his 'heart'.
On 15th February, 2024 I experienced my own rupture. My heart changed shape. Transiting Uranus was exact on my Chron in 4th house and square my Mars in 8th (house associated with transformations and death/rebirth). The sign on the cusp is - you guessed it - Leo. Although my Mars is in Virgo. The energy of health and stress. The Sun, Mercury, Pluto and Mars were all in Aquarius (power surge/nervous system) with Pluto-Mars conjunct my Venus (a sensitive point in my chart that square the nodes and is an evolutionary crossroads.)
That rupture led to a transformation that changed my entire life direction. My future.
Rupture carries the same energy as separation. As distancing. As splitting apart. It is seen in the event charts for major relationship endings. For major life 'changes'. Like my Grandads and mine. Another Aquarian word is 'future'. Movement forwards.
This Full Moon carries the weight of great change. Awakening. Sudden ruptures and forward movement. It's the unexpected storm that carries us from Kansas. With both Juno and Pluto by its side, it carries the energy of permanent transformation too. It's one we must commit to (Juno) and in doing so, we expand far beyond Kansas... into new worlds, planes of existence and consciousness (opposite Jupiter in Leo). Humanity's expansion is in creation (Leo), but let us not be stupid here. Pluto is death. Jupiter in Leo is inflated ego attention. All aspects carry the light and the dark within, as with us. Our choices right now depend on the collective answering one question:
"What future are we creating???"
It certainly doesn't look like we're in Kansas anymore [Wizard of Oz humour].
With Full Moons we see two signs in opposition, looking to balance. Aquarius and Leo. How will we lead the future of humanity? With heart, passion and joy? Or with a need to be noticed, to have egos stroked and with emotionless regard for life?
And then there's Barbault's basket. Four outer planets in sextile and trine (Pluto, Neptune, Uranus and Jupiter (on this Full Moon, it will have moved to 6 degrees), creating a basket shape. Named after André Barbault, the French mundane astrologer Barbault, who predicted the 2020 pandemic. It's said to bring forth societal change, heart-centric leaders and a new future direction. This Full Moon in general illuminates:
Where you are living in your head and not your heart
Where distance has cost you connection
Where progression feels lacking inside
Where coping mechanisms that make 'sense' now feel unfulfilling, cold and empty
🌑 The Shadow Side of Aquarius
As an air sign, Aquarius is the higher mind. The head of all heads. The shadow side can be seen as:
Intellectual superiority
Distancing as self-protection
Using logic to explain emotion
A focus on progress, no matter the cost
Theoretical thinking. No action
Tin man syndrome (lacking heart)
The many and not the few/Impersonal action
The conflict of a need to belong/draw others who are similar AND a need to be different/unique
It has been said that Aqua knows everybody. As good a networker as Gemini. Aqua certainly values people en mass - networks of people, groups and communities. Aquarius emotes value. Pours into humanity for the greater good and for equality. But at a personal level, Aqua withholds. Distances. Observes at a safe point. While this can induce neutrality and the favoured logical mind (and out of the box thinking), it lacks real heart. It's why Aqua's shadow benefits from Leo.
🔄 Sun at (6°) Leo and the Aqua-Leo Axis: Lion and the Tin Man
When the Sun is in Leo, we create. We lead. We taste passion and we move into it. We fill ourselves up with joy and things we love. We are confident as we are. Romance blooms. We discover what it is to be witnessed.
When challenged, we crave an audience. We create drama to be noticed. We scream at the world to see who and what we are. We fill ourselves up with superiority and ego like an inflated balloon.
When the Sun in Leo is opposite the Moon in Aquarius, we must lead with our hearts. Create with others for humanities greatest good. Construct groups and networks for all to belong to. Equality. We leave judgement for openness. We see everyone has a contributor in life. We allow others to exist in their soul blueprint; authentic and individual.
Leo's passion warms Aquarius's vision. The mind and the heart unite. Our creations are shared with the world and as others join our community of change, we see our visions evolve naturally. We understand the power of 'two heads are better than one'. We become the 'people', the 'movement'. We are witnessed as a collective force.
We must always remember that creating simply for ourselves is a lonely road. If Leo is the spark of creative fire, then Aquarius is Prometheus that steals the fire from the Gods (the elite/power) and gives it freely to the people.
Much like harnessing the Sun for all to access the 'free' resources they need to sustain life.
Aquarius and Leo lead from the centre; embracing equality of leadership, of creativity and of our shared express. The future is 'ours' to create.
Moon opposite Jupiter at (6°) Leo
Oppositions tend to represent a person or event that is external. Something happens from the outside that affects the other planet.
With Jupiter, we see belief systems, religion and culture, long distance places, exploration, adventure and path-seeking. We see expansion of consciousness, learning, education and teaching. Spiritual gurus. The wisdom of seeing the multiplicity within the world - in people, religious texts, spirituality and places.
If the Moon in Aquarius grows in awareness of all that inhabit the Earth. Then Jupiter shows us the diversity of those people.
The Moon may seek change in principle beliefs. It may need to explore the world or expand into it and share its vision. Our hearts are loud. We wish to see our creation in every place on the globe. To make our mark and further it. Jupiter is the arrow fired and the path we follow to retrieve it.
Jupiter and Leo can be joy, pleasures and passions. Just beware of risk-taking and overdoing it. Jupiter expands and exaggerates whatever it touches.

Let's look at the chart for the Full Moon in Aqua
Trine ruler Uranus at (4°) Gemini, Sextile Neptune at (4°) Aries and conjunct Pluto at (4°) Aquarius (and Juno at (3°) Aquarius - Barbault's Basket
With the Moon trining Uranus in the sign of Gemini, communication is a'buzz. Trines are easy flows (good or bad) and this one has us delving into data, extracting facts and having highly intellectual conversations.
Uranus rules broadcasting and Gemini is the written/spoken word, so we could experience shocking news, surprising truths coming to light, more 'new age' style content, a need for information about humanitarian causes, channelling emotions through words or mentally processing emotions (with the aid of an ai companion).
In the world, the Moon is the 'people' and with Gemini, the voices of the many. Uranus can mean rebellion, campaigning, awakening of people. I feel however, that this seeds a strong awakening in the people. That collectively, we are realising hidden truths in power systems.
I've been asked to share one of my poems in a book that will contain many poems, from people everywhere (collaborative words). A direct manifestation of this aspect.
What's Barbault's Basket?
It's all over the astrology community. An outer planet configuration that herald's a new age of heart-centric leadership, societal change and a flip in the future script.
French mundane (world) astrologer André Barbault, is fairly well-known for his work on long‑term planetary cycles and his prediction of the pandemic in 2020. This particular configuration features four outer planets at 4 degrees (Pluto in Aquarius, Uranus in Gemini. Jupiter in Leo and Neptune in Aries). Note that Jupiter will have moved by this Full Moon.
As you can see below, the basket consists of Pluto opposite Jupiter, Jupiter trine Neptune and Pluto trine Uranus. Then a sextile chain from Jupiter to Uranus, Neptune and Pluto.
Trines are an uninhibited flow of energy. Sextiles are opportunities with effort, while an opposition shows an external agent or other involved. In this case, both Pluto and Jupiter are supported by trines. Uranus is also squaring the nodes (just before they move into new signs). This is a breaking away and into a new age pattern. The slow-moving planets express as:
Pluto: Transformation. A birth-> death.
Neptune: A fading out or dissolving.
Uranus: Change towards the future. Movement. Usually rapid/unexpected.
Jupiter: Expansion of consciousness. Belief systems.
There are multiple accounts of the meaning behind this complex pattern. My own thoughts are that we are transforming humanity (Pluto in Aqua) and dissolving the identity we had (Neptune in Aries). We are leaning into leading this change from our hearts (Jupiter in Leo), confident in our roles. Humanity cannot be selfish (Neptune in Aries) in order to shift. At a psychological level, we are awakening to our true soul paths (Pluto in Aqua). We must balance heart and mind so that our quantum leap does not disrupt the natural order inherent.
