Sail away and get eaten by sharks - Full Moon/Partial lunar eclipse at 4°54' mins Pisces, on 28th August at 5:20 am BST
Updated: Aug 21

Water l Mutable l Feminine l Yin
I'm sorry first off for the title. Sailing should be relaxing and lead you to a beautiful island. But he's the stick with Pisces... what you feel will be gentle and serene and like heaven, can end up being a nightmare you wish to God you'd wake up fast from. That square to Uranus in Gemini is the change (or electrical charge) point, although I do concede that whatever 'disruption' or 'shock' may await you, it has the capacity to lead you to a liberation and fast-forward you desperately (but didn't know) you needed.

🌕The Meaning of the Full Moon in Pisces
Full moons occur when the Moon and Sun are directly opposite each other and the Sun gives 'light' to the Moon. This allows us to 'see' what has been in shadow and to complete or culminate a matter. It brings things to a head, a point or a closing.
Pisces is the final sign of the zodiac. It naturally 'ends' through dissolving - compassion, unconditional love and forgiveness. With each we spiritually reach a moment of allowing, letting go and the intuitive old soul wisdom of Pisces/Neptune. Whatever has been eating us up, fades out or takes a new form. We didn't lose interest or get bored, or kill it. We simply allowed it to change form. That capacity for spirtualisation is Pisces ending a cycle.
With Pisces we learn to transcend by connecting to a higher power. Some call this God, or Source or the Universe. Whatever it is, it encompasses us, creates us, affects consciousness and works behind the scenes. Its a magical intelligent energy. A secret, a mystery, subconscious and dream-like. We cannot really describe it, but it's everything and nothing. Intangible and deeply felt.
Pisces is the muse, the all, the ocean, the ungraspable and hope combined. It's where you feel your true calling to serve the world. To give of yourself of a higher reward. As an example, I offer my skills bro bono to a mental health charity. The reward is altruistic and not monetary.
Confused? Mmmm good. You're in good company.
Some Pisces themes:
Release of illusions: Seeing clearly what you’ve been avoiding or idealising.
Emotional culmination: Something reaches a peak or turning point.
Letting go of what no longer fits: Relationships, expectations, coping patterns.
Heightened intuition: Dreams, symbols, synchronicities.
Boundary melting: Compassion rises, but reinforce your boundaries for safety.
Soul-level clarity: The “truth behind the truth” emerges.
🌑 The Shadow Side Pisces
Many years ago a friendship ended with an argument. His Mum told me he had died by suicide. Yet there was no evidence. No death notice. Nothing. So I decided that if there was nothing physical to say it had happened, then maybe it didn't. I found out months later that he was in fact alive and we managed to reach a stage of forgiveness before it relationship dissolved.
But it got me thinking about 'ole Pisces and how things are never quite what they seem. I mean, this is the sign of hope and yearning and dreams, of everything unseen. Of what we project onto a situation or person, making it or them an ideal. It's there but it kinda isn't there. It feels spiritual and transcendent, but is it just a mirage in the dessert?
You ever had a situation where it was totally perfect and beautiful. And then the next day you questioned what you thought you knew and it felt like the exact opposite?
Or you created this world where you justified why he/she/they ghosted you or was distant and in your mind they were Prince Charming.....? That's Pisces. It's body and mind dysmorphia. It's rose-tinted glasses.
Don't get me started on secrets. Pluto/Scorpio hides to protect its emotions. Pisces/Neptune hides what may hurt others, or what confuses them, or what they can't take responsibility for. Secret affairs, love childs, feelings, addictions (sex, alcohol, drugs, gambling).
So it's not a huge leap to see that Pisces represents illusions, unmet dreams, nightmares and disappointments.
Pisces can drift, not take responsibility, morph itself... it can blur, confuse, make things fuzzy and romantic and then leave you wondering what the hell happened. The fluidity and chaos of Pisces makes it a fine actor.
The motto here is, if you can't confirm it - it's ambiguous. It never happened.
It's the affair everyone 'felt' but never spoke about. It's the perfect family on the outside, that is dysfunctional and bitter behind closed doors. It's the 'This job/person/place is the one.' And then it isn't.
It's the blind spot, the evasion, the thing you end up sacrificing, the victim and the abuser.
Pisces can be a mish-mash and head-wreck if unconscious. It has 100% feels and 0% clarity.
Yet if you can tap into what makes Pisces beautiful, it's pure magic. To do that, you have to accept that your ego must go. That what is for you, will come to you without force or will. That all things are simply a part of a greater cycle and the universe isn't 'out to get you'. It's all swirling energy. It's letting things go. Allowing. Forgiving and releasing. It's letting your intuition come to the fore and connecting with a presence outside of your human consciousness. Flow is Pisces.

🔄 Sun at (4°) Virgo and the Pisces-Virgo Axis
The axis for Pisces and Virgo is fun for me to type with Neptune in Sag, 12th square Mars in Virgo, 8th. Why? The waffle that leads to me saying "ok now we need some clarity", then switch to bullets. Gosh that's formal and dull, let's write with flow.....eh waffle again. It's like an Accountant fighting a tidal wave. Neither feel fulfilled. Both get exhausted.
Pisces is flow, egoless, connection, boundless, open, emotive, intuitive, timeless, hidden, deeply felt. It feels within the collective unconscious and through the breath.
Virgo is detail-orientated, daily routine, practical, discerning, analytical, critical, anxious, productive and useful. It learns through crisis to prioritise health towards betterment.
Pisces is evasive to Virgo. Virgo's need for routine and information affect's Pisces's peace.
Virgo works for an answer, flooding the nervous system. Pisces sits. Answers come. Or don't.
These two can learn a lot from each other to bring about a harmonious balance.
Virgo teaches Pisces that being too open and porous can lead to abuse and poor choices. It introduces discernment. There is value in understanding and seeing the fruits of one's labour. Virgo puts effort into health - be in clean food, exercise or positive thinking. The shadow side of Pisces can shift into nightmares or that everything is out to get them. A little realism rights that. Suffering happens when we fear the unknown. Virgo is good at data-grabbing to ease that. Purity is an act and what we place in our bodies affects the entire system.
Pisces shows Virgo that working hard just to be busy has no meaning or inner fulfillment. That being present with a moment soothes the nervous system. That not everything is within our control. There will always be the unknown, unsaid and incomplete. That's ok. Not everything is a puzzle or mystery to solve. Energy focus is important. There is a greater power that us humans will not 'win' with and the natural flow of life is 'as it shall be.'
Blending these two is healing and heath, flow with discernment. Nervous system management.
Let's look at the chart for the Full Moon in Pisces

Mercury opposite Moon at (5°) Virgo
Oh no, Mercury is asking questions again like Sherlock Holmes. It wants to 'know' whodunnit. Thing is, the facts don't make sense. It's like someone has been rubbing away the foot prints. As any Sherlock fan will tell you; there's no such thing as a mystery. One way or another, the truth will be known. But perhaps analysing isn't the 'right' way to gain those longed-for answers.
Mercury is digging in Virgo. It's digging, and critiquing and seeing mismatches and getting very stressed out.
I call Uranus....
Uranus square Moon at (5°) Gemini
Uranus makes yet another shocker of an appearance in this full moon. As the 'sword of truth' and in Mercury-ruled Gemini, the whisper mill is likely to yield more answers than the 'clues'.
Listen to people. Or at least let them talk.
Uranus in Gemini surprises us via information. Be in from people, digitally-found or other communication - the truth here has the theme of shock, awakening, observation and/or disruption.
Uranus is youth, humanity and questioning the status quo - the way things have been done. It progresses and stands for the future. You want to step forward? You gotta make a change.
In the wider sphere, Uranus connects to earthquakes and sudden climate-related activities. To any kind of shock in broadcasting (Media is Gemini) and within social media (Uranus linked to tech, humanity and social). There could be a 'leak' in data or a shocking communication that reaches the masses. Space travel, air travel and aliens - some astrologers have predicted a potential for news here too.

Moon trine Mars at (10°) Cancer
Mars isn't the most uncomfortable in Cancer. More indirect and passive. And definately more protective of what it wants and holds dear. As it feeds into the Moon with a flowing trine, emotional connection via bonding, emotional understanding and a feeling of immense safety. That's what a water trine brings.
Who can say what Pisces will reveal or what Uranus will unearth, but this trine says emotionally, the act of self-soothing and nurturing is good and a natural action. You don't need to do battle or confront anything. Breathe. Sit with it. Let it be felt and gain whatever support you need.
If you are the one deciding to make a change, then Mars in Cancer suggests its good for your emotionally to 'break out'. It's equally good to stay at home a bit and heal. Comforting walls and a sense of easy peace are helpful in easing stresses and strains. Never underestimate what a cry can do too.
The ruler Neptune at (3°) Aries
Nebulous Neptune dissolves in order to connect with all that is. Aries is the warrior that goes after what it wants. It can't really want and it can't really have, which is a frustration. It can spiritualise directly and any form of active flowing movement fits ... like tai chi. It can align with the will of Source and be 'directed'. With Neptune forming part of a Yod at the same time, the rise of 'intuitive leadership' is gaining 'strength'. Although I see this is a part of a greater path towards alignment with soul.
Patterns: Yod with Neptune at (3°) Aries and Pluto (3°) Aqua, both quincunx Sun (4°)/Mercury (5°) Virgo and sextile each other
The Moon sits at the mid point (semi-sextile) between Neptune and Pluto, while the Sun and Mercury act as 'apex' planets in this complex pattern.
Outer planets are stronger than personal planets. Mercury is weak here too as it's cazimi with the Sun.
Whatever Neptune and Pluto symbolise, the Sun is struggling to grasp or fit in with. Sun in Virgo - the facts and the details. Pluto is removing/mutating and Neptune is confusing/dissolving. It's not clear what both are creating, but the identity in Virgo will only stress to figure it out. Best it quits thinking and lets it present itself.

🔮 Rituals
The Pisces Release
Pisces eclipses dissolve
Light the candle.
Place your hands in the warm water.
Write on the paper: “I release the emotional pattern that no longer serves me.”
Fold the paper and submerge it in the water.
Say out loud: “What dissolves here frees me.”
Let the paper soften or break apart.
Pour the water away outside or down the drain.
2. Intuition and Truth
Have with you:
A journal
A quiet space
Something symbolic of intuition (amethyst, a shell, a feather)
Sit quietly with your symbolic object in your hand.
Close your eyes and breathe deeply 10 times.
Ask yourself: “What truth have I been avoiding?”
Let the answer rise without forcing it.
Write whatever comes — even if it’s messy, contradictory, or painful.
End with: “I honour my intuition. I honour my truth.”
