What dreams may come - New Moon at 28°27' mins Pisces, on 19th March at 01:24 am GMT

What dreams may come-style heaven

Water l Mutable l Feminine l Neptune-ruled

This lunation marks the end of the astrological year (Pisces/Neptune/12th), a psychological threshold where the psyche naturally turns inward, dissolves old narratives, and prepares for a quieter, more intuitive kind of beginning.

“Let yourself feel what’s true” with this New Moon. Let your defences soften, consider what must go before a new cycle, and trust the part of you that knows without needing proof.

🐚 Piscean themes

Pisces is the realm of the unconscious, the imaginal, the emotional body, and the longing we don’t always have words for. It’s the sign that teaches us:

  • Softness is a form of strength.

  • Intuition is a legitimate source of information.

  • Letting go is sometimes the only way forward.

  • Healing happens when we stop gripping the old story.

🌟 Psychologically, Pisces dissolves the ego’s tight hold on certainty. It opens the door to grief, compassion, imagination, and spiritual clarity. It's a subtle energy that highlights subtleties. Under this sign, we’re more porous, more receptive, and more attuned to what’s been living beneath the surface.

As per all New Moons, this is a beginning/seeding event.

Arguably one of my favourite films is 'What dreams may come' starring Robin Williams. It depicts Pisces perfectly - the loss, the sadness, dreams, nightmares, unconditional love, the imagination and heaven.

The shadow side of Pisces

Pisces is the sign of dissolution, empathy, imagination, and transcendence — but those same qualities can tilt into their shadow expressions when the emotional system is overloaded or when reality feels too sharp.

🜁 Emotional Flooding

Pisces feels everything. When that sensitivity becomes uncontained, it can lead to:

  • absorbing other people’s emotions as your own.

  • losing track of what you feel versus what’s projected onto you.

  • shutting down because the emotional volume is too high.

This is the shadow of porous boundaries — the psyche becomes a sponge instead of a filter.

🜂 Escapism & Avoidance

When reality feels too harsh, Pisces can drift into:

  • fantasy as a refuge.

  • spiritual bypassing.

  • numbing behaviours.

  • disappearing emotionally or physically.

A coping mechanism for overwhelm. Pisces avoids not because it doesn’t care, but because it cares too much.

🜄 Martyrdom & Self-Sacrifice

Pisces wants to help, heal, and hold. But without boundaries, this becomes:

  • over-giving.

  • rescuing others at your own expense.

  • confusing love with self-erasure.

  • staying in situations that drain you.

The shadow here is self-abandonment disguised as compassion.

🜁 Idealization & Disillusionment

Pisces sees potential, soul, and possibility, but this can distort into:

  • projecting fantasies onto people.

  • falling in love with who someone could be.

  • ignoring red flags.

  • disappointment when reality doesn’t match the dream.

The shadow is not seeing clearly because the heart wants to believe.

🜃 Confusion & Lack of Direction

Pisces dissolves structure. In shadow, this becomes:

  • indecision.

  • drifting.

  • feeling unanchored.

  • losing the thread of your own desires.

This is the psyche saying: I need stillness before clarity can return.

Ruler Neptune at 1° Pisces and conjunct Saturn at 3° Pisces

The ruler of this New Moon, Neptune, has just entered Aries and sits at 1° — conjunct Saturn at 3°. This is a rare and potent combination: the planet of dreams and dissolution meeting the planet of structure and reality at the very first degrees of the zodiac.

Psychologically, this pairing creates a tension between:

  • The desire to dissolve old identities (Neptune)

  • The need to build a new one with integrity (Saturn)

  • The vulnerability of being at the beginning again (Aries)

This New Moon is happening while the ruler is essentially saying: “You’re not who you were — but you’re not fully who you’re becoming yet.”

It’s liminal. Tender. Identity-shifting. A moment where you may feel both unmoored and strangely clear about what can’t continue.

New Moon in Pisces aspects to other planets

Sextile Uranus @ 28° Taurus

The New Moon forms a supportive sextile to Uranus, the planet of awakening and liberation. This isn’t a chaotic shake-up — it’s more like a subtle click inside your psyche.

Expect:

  • Sudden emotional clarity

  • A shift in perspective that feels like relief

  • Permission to release something you’ve been gripping

  • A new possibility emerging where you thought there were none

Uranus brings the insight; Pisces brings the surrender. Together, they create a gentle but undeniable turning point.

Mercury at @ 8° Pisces and Mars @ 12° Pisces conjunct North Node @  8° Pisces

Meanwhile, Mercury and Mars are conjunct the North Node, sharpening the sense that something is pulling you forward. But Mars can lose traction in Pisces and Mercury comms can feel like they're underwater.

Psychologically, this can show up as:

  • A conversation that changes your trajectory.

  • A truth you can’t unhear.

  • A surge of courage to say what you’ve avoided.

  • A decision that feels fated, even if it’s small.

It’s the universe nudging you: “Move toward the life that wants you back.”
